Early October 2014, Pierre Hermé Paris invited me to take part in a consultation to meet their English language communication needs.
The tone and style of their French texts are an inherent part of the brand’s signature. PHP was looking for a native bilingual writer able to grasp and to adapt their oft literary, sometimes theatrical, and always fragrant and mouth-watering prose.
The selection process was meticulous and precise, reminiscent of the care taken in designing creations to delight the palate in the laboratories on Rue Fortuny.
Once selected, we signed a framework contract, which has allowed us to collaborate serenely and fluidly since.
